Dear People For supporter,
Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearings have just concluded. Baseless attacks against her career and qualifications from far-right senators were unrelenting.
While many senators highlighted Judge Jackson’s incredible qualifications, those on the extreme Right, including Senators Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Marsha Blackburn, Lindsey Graham, and others, forged ahead in their desperate attempts to smear Judge Jackson with unsubstantiated attacks.
Some of these attacks are so outlandish that even conservative outlets like National Review have labeled the claims as “meritless to the point of demagoguery.”
These attempts to discredit Judge Jackson are the very reason we need supporters like you to continue speaking out in support of her nomination. With the Senate Judiciary Committee poised to vote on her nomination in the coming weeks, it’s vital that we continue building the groundswell of support to see her confirmation across the finish line.
As Senator Cory Booker said in yesterday’s hearing, no one can steal our joy – and we will use it to fuel us through the final stages of this fight for Judge Jackson’s confirmation. Thanks for all that you’re doing to help Judge Jackson make history.
