John – I hardly have the words to express this.

I hardly have the words to express what it means to see Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson on the path to making history as the first Black woman to be seated on the Supreme Court.
This day has been too long coming. Black women have borne the greatest burdens since the first days of this nation. We have been exploited, cut down, overlooked, overworked and underpaid. We have been deprived of our freedoms and our dignity – and our lives.
And much of that abuse has been handed down by, or under the protection of, our criminal legal system.
To see a Black woman rise to the highest seat of power and influence in that system; to have the opportunity to remake it from within; to bring our lived experiences to the heart of the most important questions of our democracy – this is a watershed moment.
And the truth is Judge Jackson is the most qualified candidate for this position in my lifetime. She’s already been confirmed three times by the Senate, in a bipartisan vote, for earlier appointments to the federal judiciary.
That makes the predictable attacks from Republican Senators this week so utterly shameful. In their desperate theatrics to maintain complete control of the courts, they have slandered Judge Jackson’s character with vicious lies.
We won’t stand for it. We need to send a loud and clear message to our Senators – Democrat AND Republican – that we have Judge Jackson’s back and we want her confirmed immediately.
Do you stand with Ketanji Brown Jackson? [YES | NO] [[link removed]]
If confirmed, Jackson will be the first justice to serve on the Supreme Court who has practiced as a public defender – standing up for the most vulnerable among us in the crucible of our legal system.
Her lived experience is unmatched, and it will have profound implications for our entire system of governance.
That’s why the GOP is working so hard to stop her. But we can’t allow extremist Republicans or conservative Democrats to stand in the way of this historic appointment.
If you stand with Judge Jackson, add your name to send a message to the Senate NOW. [[link removed]]
It is time, far past time, for a Black woman to serve as Justice on the highest court in our country.
Standing for Justice,

We have elections from now until November, and our candidates are counting on your support. Pitch in today and join us as we take over Congress and return power to the people.
