Friend,

After months of pressure from advocates like you, I’m thrilled to let you know that the MORE Act will be scheduled for a House floor vote next week!

Take action and tell your Representative to vote YES to advance marijuana justice nationwide.

Americans overwhelmingly agree that criminalization of marijuana ruins lives. Marijuana prohibition is the cornerstone of the cruel and inhumane drug war that has robbed millions of people of their freedom and livelihoods, disproportionately harming Black, Latinx, Indigenous and low-income communities.

The MORE Act is the only bill in Congress that will decriminalize marijuana to end federal marijuana prohibition with the comprehensive reforms needed to repair the damage it’s done through expungement, resentencing, and community reinvestment and ensure an equitable path forward rooted and racial and social justice.

It’s been more than a year since the House passed the MORE Act in a historic vote – the first time a chamber of Congress has ever approved a bill that would deschedule marijuana to end federal criminalization and repair harms.

Since then, we’ve kept the pressure on the House to move the bill forward again. Thanks to supporters like you, leadership listened with a vote coming as soon as next Thursday.

We need your help to cross the finish line: urge your Representative to vote YES on the MORE Act next week.

Even as more and more states legalize it right by passing equitable marijuana laws, there are still hundreds of thousands of marijuana arrests every year. A country where Black and Latinx people serve harsh sentences while others make millions in profit is unjust. And with most of the public in favor of legalization, it’s beyond time for Congress to act on long overdue reform.

Next week is a rare chance for Congress to take a step forward. Take action so we can win another victory in the House and take our fight for marijuana justice to the Senate.
