Dear John,

Imagine a future where cities are designed for people, not cars. People ride their bikes to work on safe, easy-to-use bike lanes. They live close to everything they need–the grocery store, medical care, the library, stores and shops–so they can choose to either walk, bike, or take public transit, which is more accessible and reliable than ever before–and we’re less dependent on fossil fuels.

Want to help create a future like this? Oregon’s Land Conservation and Development Commission (LCDC) is currently going through a rulemaking process to create Climate-Friendly and Equitable Communities around the state. You can help by signing the petition showing your support today [[link removed]]!

This rulemaking process is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform our communities, and our chance to increase affordable housing options, create communities that are bikeable and walkable, and “to transform Oregon’s communities to be safe, equitable, sociable, and pleasant places where driving is not required, and the amount of driving is reduced.”

Please sign the petition and urge the LCDC to prioritize this important rulemaking process [[link removed]]!

Thank you,
Julia DeGraw
