Fox News’ Tucker Carlson is continuing his pro-Kremlin cheerleading including broadcasting Russian disinformation on Vladimir Putin’s war on Ukraine, despite the masses of Ukrainians who’ve been killed. Carlson’s pro-Putin claims are so useful for selling the war that Russian state media airs these video clips repeatedly.1
The Fox News host has also been pushing to his 4.5 million U.S. viewers a false claim by Russian state media that the U.S. is funding biological weapons research in Ukraine.2 The Kremlin has been fueling accusations that Ukraine intends to use biological weapons, and the C.I.A.’s director has warned that this disinformation could lay the groundwork for a Russian biological or chemical attack that it can then blame on the U.S. or Ukraine.3
And the misleading, dangerous rhetoric from the Fox "News" channel doesn't stop there. If it's not the promotion of anti-democratic voter suppression bills, it's the network's outright support of insurrectionists at the Capitol. They’ve never been held accountable, and it's time we change that.

For decades, the GOP has used Fox News as a giant megaphone to spread their harmful and hateful agenda. While Fox News has always been an obstacle in the pursuit of justice and civil rights, it sank to new lows in the COVID pandemic, becoming America’s main driver of disinformation on the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccines.4
Fox News also fueled the sharp rise of anti-democratic and authoritarian sentiment by spreading Trump’s Big Lie that the 2020 election was stolen5, encouraged the harassment of those with different viewpoints (remember Tucker Carlson urging his viewers to harass mask wearers?6), and so much more.
It’s time that Fox News is held accountable for its dangerous actions over many years. If some people still watch Fox News, that's their choice. But we should be able to choose to stop our cable fees from funding an organization that continues to harm our country, our democracy, our health, and the lives of Americans, Ukrainians, and masses of other people.
