With the end-of-quarter FEC deadline approaching, I’m working to help some of our candidates with the best shot of winning and ensuring we hold or expand our Senate majority. So today, I want to ask you to support Tim Ryan’s campaign in Ohio.

Look, I know some folks may feel like Ohio’s Senate seat is too tough. But the truth is there are some key advantages that give us a real shot in this race. Plus, we cannot win if we don’t compete.

So right off the bat, it’s an open seat. There’s no Republican incumbency advantage here. If anything, Tim Ryan has the advantage in this race having already won election time and time again in one of the toughest districts in Ohio.

Second, candidate quality still really matters and the contrast here is so clear. Republicans are picking between some of the worst candidates in the country, like J.D. Vance and Josh Mandel — guys with truly awful and extreme views that fall well outside the mainstream. Meanwhile, Tim is focused on cutting working Ohioans in on the deal as he says. His life story taught him the struggle millions of Americans face to put food on the table and find a good-paying job with dignity.

But he cannot flip this seat alone. It’s going to take a significant amount of grassroots support — folks like you stepping up and pitching in to say you believe in his fight. So I’m asking you to join us today:

Can you split a $3 donation between Tim Ryan’s campaign and my work to hold the Senate majority? This is one of the seats we have to fight extra hard to flip if we’re going to expand the majority, end the filibuster, and deliver real change.

If you’re wondering why your support today, before the FEC deadline, is so important, then give me the chance to make one last pitch.

So right now, a far-right billionaire has pumped at least $10 million into a super PAC to prop up one of Tim’s opponents.

And it’s just the start. McConnell’s super PAC and all of the other usual dark money suspects are almost certainly going to follow suit.

Tim — who is a close friend of mine — told me that he and his team are trying to get up on air soon. It can be hard to come back in a campaign if you let your opponents run attack ads first that tell a false, extreme story about you before you can introduce yourself to voters.
