To make history and ensure Judge Jackson's confirmation, we'll need to work together against right-wing attacks.
John,
This week, the Senate Judiciary Committee has been holding hearings for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's nomination to the Supreme Court, and Republicans have made no attempt to hide their racism. Check out some of the coverage:
For the Republican party, this is business as usual. But these racist dog-whistles, digs, and insults at Judge Jackson's intelligence and qualifications are rooted in one thing only: the bigoted undermining of Black women's work and intellect.
We won't let them win. That's why Cori has been working to ensure the historic confirmation of our first Black woman Supreme Court justice from the start. Please, will you chip in $5 or more to power Cori's work to help confirm Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson as our next Supreme Court justice today?
Chip in $5
Let's make this clear: Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson is more than qualified to join the Supreme Court. Jackson is a former public defender, previously clerked for Justice Stephen Breyer, was appointed to the U.S. Sentencing Commission, holds a seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals, and has a deep commitment to justice.
John, as the first Black woman elected to represent Missouri in Congress, Cori understands that being the first is about more than symbolism. It's about saving lives. The GOP and far-right media can attack incredible Black women leaders as many times as they want, but it will not deter our fight to make our democracy more just, more free, and more equal.
To make history and ensure Judge Jackson's confirmation, we'll need to work together against right-wing attacks. Will you consider a $5 donation or more today to power our organizing and support Cori? We will not let them win.
In solidarity,
Team Cori
