Hey, team, it’s Anthony. I want to share a moment from the campaign trail that underscored why we cannot fall short in this campaign.
During a recent candidate forum, we were asked what we would do to address the racial wealth gap in Maryland. The leading Republican candidate's answer? “I would do nothing about that.”
I could not disagree more. And I told him that.
It is absolutely the job of the AG to address the racial wealth gap and enforce laws aimed at preventing discrimination in housing, education, health care, and more.
This is a man with ties to the League of the South – a Southern Poverty Law Center classified hate group. And now he wants to become the people’s lawyer.

A candidate with ties to extremists has no business being Maryland’s next Attorney General. We know how much is at stake in this election and how important it is for us to elect a public servant who will fight for equity, economic opportunity, and safety for all Marylanders.
Whether it’s in housing, addressing redlining and predatory mortgage practices, or taking on the issue of student debt, the Attorney General must be an active partner in addressing the racial wealth gap.
