In a shocking turn of events, one of the greatest champions of The Big Lie has turned on Donald Trump. Alabama Congressman Mo Brooks seems to be pointing the finger at Trump for ordering the January 6th Insurrection:

“President Trump asked me to rescind the 2020 elections, immediately remove Joe Biden from the White House, immediately put President Trump back in the White House, and hold a new special election for the presidency.”

Brooks’ betrayal of President Trump is shocking. Brooks delivered the most incendiary speech at the January 6th Stop the Steal rally, explicitly calling for violence. Then he gave almost the exact same speech at CPAC 7 months later. He’s been one of Trump’s biggest allies in Congress.

So what caused the split? We wish we could tell you that Brooks has come to his senses and wishes to repent for his treason, but no, it’s just good old-fashioned infighting. Trump recently rescinded his endorsement of Brooks’ campaign for Senate. Why? For not amplifying The Big Lie E NOUGH.

“The 2020 Election was rigged, and we can’t let them get away with it. When I endorsed Mo Brooks, he took a 44-point lead and was unstoppable. He then hired a new campaign staff who “brilliantly” convinced him to “stop talking about the 2020 Election… Very sad but, since he decided to go in another direction, so have I, and I am hereby withdrawing my Endorsement of Mo Brooks for the Senate.”

Trump just put every member of The 147 on notice: make The Big Lie the central platform of your 2022 reelection campaigns, or I’ll brand you as a traitor to MAGA nation.

It will be interesting to see if anybody follows Mo Brooks’ lead, but our mission is clear. Now that cracks are starting to show in the sedition caucus, we need to keep up the pressure until it finally shatters.
