Stop receiving updates about The Lincoln Project ads

Friend -

I get a lot of crap online and you know what, I can take it. Because, to me, MAGA (and Putin) internet trolls are a sign that I’m doing something. I’m fighting a fight worth fighting and I’m pissing off the right people. And I’m glad people are getting mad and noticing. That’s what it takes to get noticed when you’re competing for attention against someone like Donald Trump.

I’ve been in this attention-seeking role for my entire career…not for myself, but for campaigns and clients - that’s what ad guys do. But not all ad guys (or gals) turn their attention to something as pointed and necessary as stopping a radical autocrat from devouring our country and turning it into an authoritarian regime.

When we founded The Lincoln Project, we knew we were up against a megalomaniac. We hadn’t yet seen just how dark and dangerous the MAGA movement that would rise in his wake could be.

The fight we started got much bigger than we initially predicted. And this is why we’re still in this battle, doing everything in our power to fight back. You get these emails asking you to pitch in because we can reach more people with our messages with you by our side. We know that we’re one of a kind in the political space. That’s because we share a lot - we dive deep into the weekly spins on YouTube, we get into fights on Twitter, and we produce an insane volume of ads attacking everyone who’s with Trump and who’s funding their campaigns.

We know that we can hold back this wave in 2022 because we know that you’re with us. Here’s the thing, Friend, we’re not afraid to go after anyone. If they’re trying to destroy our democracy, they’re fair game. We know how to win and we need you in this fight with us.

So, let’s go.

- Rick
