Dear John,
We are in the midst of a climate crisis, and rising gas prices are a reminder we must accelerate the transition to electric vehicles. However, the United States Postal Service (USPS) is planning to spend up to $11.3 billion on a new fleet of gas-powered delivery trucks instead of investing in climate-friendly electric vehicles (EVs).
This misguided plan will only serve to continue our dependence on dirty fossil fuels and cost us more in the long run. Tell USPS that climate action can’t wait. We need to invest in clean, electric vehicles to improve public health and address climate change. ([link removed])

Transportation is the leading source of greenhouse gas emissions. That’s why President Biden called on government agencies to do their part in the fight against climate change by transitioning to 100% zero-emission vehicles by 2035.
As the U.S. government agency with the largest fleet of vehicles, the USPS has a responsibility to face the climate crisis head-on by transitioning to 100% EVs as quickly as possible.
Join us in telling the USPS Board of Governors to reevaluate its plans to spend billions of dollars on a new, inefficient, gas-powered fleet of delivery trucks. ([link removed])
Thank you for your support and engagement.
