As a mom of school aged kids, Katie has had enough of politicians who are too afraid to stand up to the gun lobby and take common sense action to protect our families. That’s why she’s proud to officially be endorsed by Giffords PAC and Brady PAC, two organizations dedicated to preventing gun violence.
Katie’s a proud champion of gun violence prevention—the very first amendment she introduced in Congress would require a report on the effect of firearm possession on victims of domestic violence. She also co-sponsored a bipartisan bill to require background checks for all firearm purchases.
And while she represents the many Americans who support making our communities safer, Republicans backed by the NRA have stood in the way of passing this commonsense legislation into law.
