I’ve always believed in the power of education because learning is our ticket to success. When elected governor, I promise to create an Arkansas where quality public education is accessible to every child in the state. But I need your help to make it happen.

My passion for education stems from my love of science. Being curious about the world around me helped me focus on learning everything I could, and I had the encouragement I needed from my family and community to pursue knowledge. A NASA scholarship enabled me to attend college, and that eventually led to me earning my doctorate and creating a career for myself in the sciences.

I believe that we must work to ensure every child has a strong public education – no matter who they are or where they come from. Here are our promises to support public education in Arkansas:

teachers’
pay,
resources,
and
retirement
so
no
one
has
to
choose
between
surviving
and
teaching
the
next
generation
of
leaders

to
make
college
affordable
so
everyone
can
achieve
excellence

Our campaign is determined to fulfill these promises to Arkansas because we have faith that there is so much untapped potential here. We have the talent and drive to make Arkansas a beacon of learning, but it’s up to us to make these promises a reality.
