Dear Supporter,

From time to time, I'm reminded of the quote "We get the government that we deserve." Do we?

Do we get the government we deserve when conservative state governments close polling places, require voter ids, and racially gerrymander their districts? Is that the government we deserve?

Do we get the government we deserve when hostile nations interfere in our elections and our candidates welcome their assistance?

Do we get the government we deserve when our President seeks to involve foreign heads of state in our most sovereign democratic processes for his own personal, political gain; while our Senate Majority (including junior Senator Thom Tillis) remain complicit, and refuse to protect our nation and elections from these threats?

This is the United States of America, not of Ukraine or Russia or China. We need to be building walls around our elections and not around our nation. Then and only then will we begin getting the government we deserve.

Fellow North Carolinians, fellow Americans, this is the time that has found us in history to work to save this democratic experiment. WE must all participate. I am honored to be working on your behalf and I am honored by your gifts and your hard earned time and money to help get US to the United States Senate.

On this, the 156th Anniversary of the Gettysburg Address, when Lincoln proclaimed "that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that Government by the people, of the people, and for the people shall not perish from this earth." Let US work together to ensure that it won't.
