John, today is the 12-year anniversary of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) being signed into law.

The ACA expanded healthcare coverage to tens of millions of Americans. And its passage was possible because progressives wouldn't take no for an answer from corporate special interests – which had blocked major healthcare legislation for decades.

Representatives like Marie are determined to build on the progress of the ACA so that we can finally achieve universal coverage in this country. But the corporate special interests are once again standing in the way, and they're hoping their allies in Congress will hold the line.

Marie's primary opponent has refused to support Medicare for All each time it’s been discussed in Congress. The voters of IL-06 deserve a representative that understands health care should not be a luxury, it should be a right.

Marie doesn't shy away from her progressive positions, and she runs the type of campaign that can't be bought. Unlike her opponent, she won't take a single dollar from corporate PACs.

To win this primary, we'll need wide grassroots support. Donations as small as $5, $15, or $25 will be key.
