We are just over a week away from a crucial fundraising deadline for our campaign, so we want to take a moment to talk about why this month is so important.
At midnight on March 31, our campaign will submit a public report to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) detailing how much we fundraised in the last 3 months. However, this will be our final report before the New York state primaries this June when Alexandria will be on the ballot.
As one of the most heavily targeted members of Congress, Alexandria’s report will draw huge attention from political opponents, pundits, and powerful special interests who are hoping to see our movement lose its strength.
Here’s just one example of what we can expect:
With the end-of-quarter deadline and the primary election fast approaching, we need all hands on deck to support Alexandria’s re-election and work in Congress.
Alexandria has continued to show bold leadership this quarter: from pressuring President Biden to cancel student debt, to securing $7 million for community projects in The Bronx and Queens, to highlighting how the Ukrainian refugee crisis shows that we need a pathway to citizenship for all those with Temporary Protected Status.
The number of contributions we receive – no matter the amount – sends an important message: That Alexandria has strong support in her fight for systematic change from coast to coast.
