I'm John James, and I’m reaching out on behalf of a fellow veteran and friend, Brian Mast.

Long before my service to the conservative cause, my service began as a cadet at West Point. I attended Ranger school and flight school and was deployed to Iraq to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

I led two Apache platoons, flying more than 750 combat hours in an Apache Attack Helicopter, and learned firsthand the price to safeguard Freedom.

Like Brian Mast, we learned that protecting our country and our ideals takes incredible sacrifice and that we can never grow complacent in our mission.

I never wanted to be a politician, but maybe that’s exactly what we need in Washingtonーmore veterans in Congress who not only have experience leading but know the consequences of failing to defend freedom.
