"There’s a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that, so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great."
- Donald Trump to the President of Ukraine

All is not well in the Republic. Asking a foreign power to investigate your political opponent is not just wrong — it’s illegal.

But Attorney General Barr refused to open an investigation into Trump’s request for a “favor” from Ukraine, even though he knew about the call months before the American people did.

That’s because he was involved. Barr doesn’t care about the rule of law, he only cares about protecting himself and his political allies from transparency and accountability.

And now, if the Department of Justice decides to open any Ukraine-related investigations, Barr gets a say. That’s not right. Sign your name to demand Barr recuse himself from any new investigations of the Trump-Ukraine scandal »

When our founding fathers were writing the Constitution, they actually had a debate about whether they should even include impeachment at all. The argument that tipped the scales in favor was this exact scenario.

Our founders asked a simple question: “What would happen if a sitting U.S. President solicited help to win an election from a foreign power? What if that helped them win?”

If Donald Trump truly did withhold military aid from Ukraine in order to pressure their government into investigating Joe and Hunter Biden, that’s exactly the type of behavior that our founders were trying to stop. And since Barr was involved in that exchange, he cannot be trusted to investigate it fairly.

That’s why I’m joining the call for Barr to recuse himself from any Ukraine-related investigations, because the American people deserve the truth — not a version of events colored by Barr’s conflicts of interest.
