With our end-of-quarter deadline just over a week away, we wanted to
acknowledge that we’ve been sending you a few more emails than normal. We
felt it was only appropriate to take a minute or two to explain why these
emails are so important, and why donating to our people-powered campaign
today would make a major impact.

Our email program is a major source of the donations our campaign needs to
function. Over 44% of everything we raised last quarter came in through
our email program.

As a people-powered campaign, we rely on supporters like you chipping in
$5, $25, or even $50 at a time. We don’t have billionaire benefactors,
millions of dollars to self-fund, or corporate PAC funders.

There are real people who set our fundraising goals, write these emails
(hi! 👋), and track our progress. And we know you are a real person, too.
This is why we’ll never resort to the-sky-is-falling tactics to try and
scare you into contributing.

But not all of our opponents can say the same…

According to the Pittsburgh City Paper, Dr. Oz was asking for donations
online with a pre-checked box in the fine print, which can mislead people
into giving an automatically recurring donation… again and again and
again.

This is an online fundraising tactic pioneered by — you guessed it —
Donald Trump and the Republican party, who swindled some unsuspecting
donors out of thousands of dollars. 🤢

Let’s be very clear: What Dr. Oz did is completely, 100% unethical. People
deserve respect from the candidates running to serve them. That’s why from
Day One, we’ve built our incredible people-powered movement by leveling
with you about the stakes of this race. No fear-mongering, no "gotcha"
fine print… just the truth about why John Fetterman is running for Senate
and why supporting our campaign is so damn important.

Pennsylvanians deserve so much better than a scam artist like Dr. Oz.
