Friends, today marks a day in history when Congress put people first and delivered health care to millions of families.
Since the passage of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) exactly twelve years ago, we’ve seen record enrollment in Northwest Indiana and across our nation, enabling families to access the health care they need when they need it.
We must build upon the impact and success of the ACA, and I need your support to continue this necessary work. That’s why I’m asking you today to contribute to my re-election campaign, so I can build on the progress of the ACA and create a real and positive impact for all Americans.
Already, Republicans have hinted they are eager to repeal elements of ACA — or the entire law — if they take the House majority in November. This is deeply destabilizing for families who rely on ACA for their coverage, and would go against the vast majority of Americans who approve of the ACA.
