During the last legislative session, Republicans made multiple attempts to restrict ballot access by rolling back key voting rights expansions made over the past several years:

• They tried to eliminate absentee ballot drop boxes
• They tried to eliminate the permanent list of absentee voters
• They tried to slash the early voting term to just two weeks before an election

But fortunately—for everyone—Democrats killed these bills in committee.

Just imagine where we’d be right now if the GOP controlled the Senate. We would undoubtedly be looking at a new age of voter suppression in Virginia. This is why we have to do everything we can to defend the Democratic Senate majority.
