12 years ago today President Obama signed into law the Affordable Care Act (ACA) – also known as Obamacare!

By passing this monumental law, Democrats advanced healthcare equity beyond anything our country had seen before and expanded health care coverage for millions of Americans.

Medicaid access to millions of low-income people, protections for those with pre-existing conditions, requirements that healthcare plans cover women’s preventative healthcare services, and so much more, are just a few of the ways the ACA fundamentally changed healthcare access.

But some Republicans are still hell bent on repealing the ACA. Just check out this recent headline from the Washington Post:

Folks, Obamacare is working and is popular. This year's election could not be more important as the GOP looks to rip health care from millions of Americans. Can you chip in whatever you can to make sure we keep our razor-thin majority and are in the best possible position to defend the ACA?

Health insurance has never been more affordable than it is now. More individuals and families across our nation can access affordable health insurance options thanks to the Affordable Care Act.
