Jack,
While protecting voting rights and overseeing clean elections are a major aspect of being Secretary of State, I was also motivated to run for this seat to have the opportunity to boost local economy and small businesses within our communities — something not as many people are familiar with as part of the job. As a graduate of Leadership Georgia, I’ve seen just how important it is to have strong, vibrant businesses in every corner of the state.
Being a military veteran, I’ve also seen the influx of families come into our state to serve at our many military bases. Service members often bring their family members who might hold professional certifications like real estate licenses, teaching licenses, nursing licenses, and more — which might not carry over to Georgia, hindering their ability to make a sustainable living.
The Secretary of State oversees 42 licensing boards that help professionals and small businesses establish and maintain their operations in the state of Georgia. If we are going to continue to attract more people to our state and help them thrive, we must establish clear, easy, and inclusive processes to empower working families who are trying to make a comfortable life here.
I’m committed to fostering the success of our local economy, job market, and small businesses — and I plan to develop practical solutions to these challenges when I’m elected as Georgia’s next Secretary of State. But I can’t do it without you. Will you donate to my campaign today to help me advance our small businesses and local economy?
