Editor's Note:
While Democrats' self-congratulations continue in the wake of Joe Biden's nomination of a black female for the U.S. Supreme Court, Senator Josh Hawley is doing what all senators should be doing and is studying Ketanji Brown Jackson's judicial history. It is frightening. As Rachel Bovard explains, Jackson's judicial philosophies have included such positions as eliminating minimum sentences for child porn (some offenders just "like to collect it" or are loners who "need a community"). She has also asserted that requiring those convicted of sex crimes to register as sex offenders creates unnecessary "stigmatization and ostracism" for the predators. Will Republicans have the courage to resist this dangerous nominee? Reprinted with permission. Pat Daugherty, Ed.D.
