It’s been twelve years since President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act (ACA) into law, and for those without insurance, March 23, 2010 was life changing.
The small business owner who couldn’t afford coverage for her family; the mother who needed health care for her college aged daughter with Crohn’s disease; the freelancer who had a gap in coverage between jobs – they were all able to breathe a sigh of relief once the ACA took effect.
There are five clear ways that the ACA has been able to improve and expand health care coverage. We’d love you to take a look and then tell us how access to quality, affordable health care coverage through the ACA has improved your life or the lives of your loved ones >> [[link removed]]
We know that millions of Americans have benefited from increased access to health care coverage as a part of the Affordable Care Act. Do you have a story of how the ACA transformed or improved your life, or the life of a loved one, that you are willing to share with us?

Twelve years after its passing, the ACA’s vision of affordable, quality health care is a reality. During the pandemic, the ACA was a lifeline for the millions of Americans who were out of work, and we saw first hand how important it is to have affordable access to coverage.
As a community, we’re going to hold firm to our commitments to protect the ACA and to fight for quality, affordable care for all people.
Thank you,
Coalition to Protect America’s Health Care
