Hey team,
12 years ago today, President Obama signed into law the Affordable Care Act (ACA), advancing health equity throughout our country and marking the beginning of a monumental shift in how Americans accessed health coverage.
Thanks to the ACA, millions of Americans gained the healthcare they needed that unfortunately was unattainable at the time.
Medicaid expansion for lower income Americans, protections for people with pre-existing conditions, requirement of plans to cover women’s preventative health services, and so much more are just a few of the ways the ACA fundamentally changed how Americans accessed healthcare.
Despite all of this, some Republicans continue to attack the ACA in a cruel attempt to repeal this monumental law. And so, we need to keep protecting healthcare – and friends, that will only happen if Democrats are still in control of Congress next year. Defending the majority means defending the ACA. Contribute today to protect and expand access to healthcare!

Access to healthcare should not be a partisan issue. Everyone has the right to live a long healthy life, yet there are still some Republican states that refuse to accept federal funding to expand Medicaid.
And if far-right Republicans take the House this November, they will try to gut the ACA as they have repeatedly tried over the last decade.
We need to unite and protect access to healthcare. Whether you are a Republican or a Democrat, you deserve affordable access to the coverage you need to lead a healthy life. Defend the majority today and defend the ACA.
