ACTION NEEDED: Biden v. Texas

We need the Supreme Court to allow President Biden to end the cruel Remain in Mexico border policy started by President Trump.

Friend,

One of President Biden’s first actions after taking the Oath of Office was to end Donald Trump’s inhumane “Remain in Mexico” (MPP) policy. You may recall that this policy allowed the government to force asylum-seekers to stay in Mexico as they waited out their cases in the immigration system — sometimes for months or years.

It was cruel and contrary to the law and our values.

But right now, lower courts have blocked President Biden’s attempt to end this cruel policy and the case has made its way all the way to the Supreme Court. This is restricting the Administration from fulfilling its campaign promises to create a nation of laws and policies that value fairness, dignity, and equality..

That’s why we need the Supreme Court to affirm that presidents have the authority to implement their own policies, and that President Biden can end the inhumane Remain in Mexico policy. We need you to raise your voice with us, so please sign our pledge right away to take action on Biden v. Texas.

There has been a decades-long precedent from the Supreme Court that any presidential administration should have the freedom to implement its own policies. The same should hold true in Biden v. Texas.

The Remain in Mexico policy must be permanently ended. Together, we can send this message to all Americans and leaders in Washington — so please, sign our pledge and take action right away.
