As you may already know, Community Connect’s Drive & Drop event will take place around the country this Saturday 26th March.
Community Connect continue to have a huge demand from families in need for their support, and they support around 20 families every single week. They have recently helped a number of families who have arrived from Ukraine with small children, and they expect to have an even bigger demand from such families over the coming weeks, as more and more refugees arrive into Ireland. They also continue to support families in homelessness, poverty and other difficult circumstances; and receive referrals from maternity hospitals and major homelessness support, domestic violence support and poverty alleviation organisations across Ireland.
So please don't forget (and remind others!) to pick up a few extra items in your weekly shop, and drop them to one of their collection locations from 1pm - 3pm on Saturday 26th March.
There is a full list of items they can accept on their website HERE - items such as nappies, wipes, nappy cream and baby wash; as well as new packs of babygros, vests and baby blankets, are all very welcome.
There will be drop-offs at the following locations on Saturday:
Click HEREfor detail of these locations, and you can click on each one for a google map link to where it is. Community Connect's fabulous team of volunteers will be waiting to collect your donations!
PLEASE SUPPORT AS GENEROUSLY AS YOU CAN!
If you are not near to any of these areas, or you won't be able to get to the shops in time, you might consider sponsoring a gift instead at www.communityconnect.ie/sponsor-a-gift, and the Community Connect team will buy and prepare the items on your behalf.
Please spread the word to friends and family so that Saturday will be as successful as possible.
Many thanks as always for your very generous support!
