Folks, I need to be honest with you – I’m pissed off right now.

Idaho Republicans just pushed through one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the country. Now, it’s awaiting signature from their Governor who is expected to sign it.

I’m running for re-election because I’m fed up and I believe that reproductive rights are worth fighting for. If you’re with me, can you chip in to my campaign right now?

This type of legislation has no place in our country, where the Supreme Court enshrined the right to a legal and safe abortion less than 50 years ago.

It’s common for a pregnant person to not exhibit signs of pregnancy until six weeks or thereafter. Republicans know that, which is why this bill effectively bans all abortion in the state.

All across our country, the Republican Party is planning to strip away abortion rights in states that they hold majorities in and can pass restrictive legislation. It happened in Texas, now it’s happening in Idaho.

No matter if it’s a ‘blue,’ ‘red,’ or ‘purple’ state, the right to a safe abortion belongs to every pregnant person.

It’s time that we’re clear-eyed about the threat to reproductive rights. Republicans plan on doing everything they can to unravel the rights set forth in Roe v. Wade. I won’t back down in protecting abortion rights but, we need to take this fight on together – as Democrats.
