Yesterday, Attorney General Josh Stein was giving a speech in Charlotte when an audience member received a scam phone call.
"You're breaking the law," Josh told the scammer, who quickly hung up the phone.
Josh is leading the bipartisan coalition of 51 state AGs and 12 telephone companies in the fight to stop unwanted and unlawful robocalls, and his office helped to recover more than $2.5 million lost to scammers last year.
