A big story just broke about a former San Diego Councilman — and Georgette’s opponent — David Alvarez.
In 2019, Alvarez lobbied with San Diego Gas & Electric to build a dangerous power station in Barrio Logan. He did this one year after leaving office, which likely violates city ethic laws and certainly violates the trust of the community.

Rather than work for the best interests of his constituents, Alvarez bows to corporate interests. Georgette, on the other hand, has spent her career standing up to big corporations and keeping pollutants out of our neighborhoods.
Is it any wonder that Big Oil and other corporate interests are now pouring money into Alvarez's campaign?
