The NCAA is perpetuating a fraud on the American public and undermining the integrity of female sports, by allowing men to compete against women.
This organization is putting ideology ahead of opportunity, and wokeness ahead of fairness. And by doing so, they are preventing and depriving female athletes who have trained and worked so hard from realizing their dreams.
This afternoon, I issued a proclamation stating that a Sarasota native and UVA swimmer is the best female swimmer in the 500-meter freestyle in the nation, because she undoubtedly is.
In Florida, as long as I am your governor, fair play in competition will always be upheld and opportunities in sports will never be replaced by woke ideologies.
