When Josh gave the greenlight for us to find this office, our whole team was ecstatic. However, now we’re hoping our grassroots team can help us fill the budget hole it’s put us in. We really needed this office, but if we don’t fill this gap it will hurt us on our first end of quarter deadline coming up this month.

Some decisions I have to make are tough and hard. This time, it was an easy call.

My campaign team came to me and said we needed to invest in an office. We want a dedicated space our volunteers and organizers can use as a new “hub” of activity to meet and hold events, run our volunteer programs, and be a part of the broader community.

It was an easy green light from me, and happy to say our team moved in this week! We intentionally placed our HQ right in the middle of Stockton, our largest city, and one of the most important communities for us to do early community organizing in. There are tens of thousands of persuadable voters in Stockton, and it’s vital our grassroots organization is a part of the community.

However, with our first end of quarter fundraising deadline coming up at the end of this month, I’m hoping this grassroots team can help us make up the hole this has caused in our budget. We’re currently about $10,000 short for the big deadline.

I need your help to make sure this doesn’t detract from our fundraising progress, because if we look weak in our first end-of-quarter report, Kevin McCarthy will rush millions more of his corporate PAC money to try and flip our seat.
