All eyes are on Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearings, John.
Even after hours of questioning from the Senate Judiciary Committee, I can’t help but notice Judge Jackson’s absolute poise, grace and patience. She’s had to endure bad faith, racist, and hateful attacks from the GOP — even in front of her husband, daughters, and parents — spewed from the likes of Lindsey Graham, Chuck Grassley, and Ted Cruz.
Ketanji Brown Jackson deserves better, John. That’s why I’m asking 15,000 Women’s Marchers to sign on in support of Judge Jackson.
Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson would be the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court of the United States: For women, for Black people, and especially for Black women, this representation is necessary and long overdue.
But we know the GOP will do everything in their power to stop progress, John. And, with so much on the line — including the reversal of Roe v. Wade and the potential end of abortion as we know it — we know they’ll pull every dirty trick in the book.
We must come together as a movement and show our unwavering support for Judge Jackson — a brilliant legal mind, and a jurist with a proven record of protecting the rights of the most vulnerable.
