Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy just can’t get me out of his head.

In Breitbart exclusives. In his press conferences. And now, he’s taking
his attacks and smears directly to Twitter in pallid mimicry of the banned
former president.

Each statement is false. But you knew that already. Because there’s really
just one objective to Kevin’s campaign of misinformation:

Ingratiate himself with Marjorie Taylor Greene, Paul Gosar and all the
other right-wing members he needs to retain his position. And most
important — win his way back into Trump’s good graces.

And so he whips up the right-wing Twitter mob and prays it’s enough to get
noticed on a Fox News primetime segment that Trump is watching. Smearing
me — well that’s just a bonus as far as he is concerned.

John, these attacks may seem pathetic to you or me, and indeed
they are. But that doesn’t change the fact that millions of
Trump-supporting Republicans will take them at face value. The more people
who believe it, the more McCarthy’s lies will scale and begin to influence
the outcome of the midterm elections. We must push back forcefully – or
else Kevin’s false narrative will take hold. That’s why I have to ask:

Here’s what’s so painfully pathetic about McCarthy:

Remember when he said Trump was on Putin’s payroll?

When he said the Benghazi Select Committee was designed to bring down
Hillary’s poll numbers?

Or when he failed to hold his own members accountable for attending white
supremacist events?

The fact is, every accusation he makes is an admission of his own
failures. Like Trump, he does nothing but project his own dishonesty onto
others. And it would cost our nation dearly to see him occupy the
Speaker’s office, so we must make sure that doesn’t happen.

It’s so important that we maintain our narrow House majority so we can
continue fighting for progress and making a difference for the American
people.
