It took way too many years, but the Violence Against Women Act has finally been reauthorized. While it doesn't include the key provision to criminalize revenge porn federally, and while our fight for that legislation must continue, this is still a big win.

Survivors of abuse and sexual assault will be safer and better supported thanks to this law.

That is a victory, pure and simple — and a reminder that it's worth it to keep up the fight.
