Team, national Republicans attacked me last week for my vote for the American Rescue Plan (ARP). And they’re not telling the whole story in order to make themselves look better.
Let’s get something straight.
The complete story of the American Rescue Plan Act is that it has revitalized our Northwest Indiana economy, delivered Child Tax Credit benefits to thousands of families, and eased the strain of responding to the pandemic on our state and local governments.
So when Republicans say that the temporary inflation we are experiencing — in part due to a lack of investment in our supply chains, failed trade policies, and global forces completely out of Congressional control — is all because of the ARP, know they are not telling the complete story.
