The United States has entered a new phase of the COVID-19 pandemic—a phase where, thanks to President Joe Biden, more Americans than ever are vaccinated, fewer people are dying of the virus, more workers are returning to work, and things are getting back to some sense of normalcy.

It is through the power of COVID-19 testing and tracing, treatment, and vaccination of as many eligible people as possible, that we have been able to move forward—and it’s also because of the emergency resources Congress made available.

By taking this virus seriously, and by giving working families the tools to fight it, we’ve been able to keep more working Americans safe and healthy. Testing has allowed us to stop asymptomatic spread in its tracks. Vaccinations have helped us protect ourselves and our communities against the virus. And when people have fallen ill, treatment has helped them recover.

If we fail to provide this important funding, we are setting ourselves up to backtrack on all the progress we’ve made these past two years. Without this funding, the government will be unable to provide future doses of vaccines to fight COVID-19 variants, unable to provide tests and treatments to those who need them, and unable to effectively fight this virus like we have been.
