More than 1 million arrests for simple possession alone in 2020, funneling countless people to the criminal justice system. And due to targeted policing and enforcement, Black, Latinx, and Indigenous people make up a disproportionate share of arrests.

We did it in Oregon and now we are fighting hard to do it in more states, and federally with the Drug Policy Reform Act. Our ultimate goal: that by 2030, 100 million people will live in places where drug possession is no longer criminalized and people who use drugs have better access to health and support services.
