It’s a big week. The Senate is currently holding hearings to confirm the wildly qualified, impressively credentialed Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. She’s a Harvard Law School Graduate, former clerk to Justice Stephen Breyer, first public defender to be nominated to the Supreme Court. The list goes on.
And yet we’ve seen Republicans attack and question her experience, which is why we need a groundswell of support declaring in one voice: She is highly qualified and she must be confirmed.

You know what is maybe the worst part about Republican opposition to Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation? Mitch McConnell, Ted Cruz, Chuck Grassley, and other Republicans have already supported her confirmation when she was appointed to the federal court bench. Strange that they would oppose her now.
Judge Jackson has a proven record of protecting the rights of everyone, no matter their race or background. As a public defender, she has seen firsthand how the criminal-legal system impacts everyday Americans.
Our Supreme Court is already packed with justices who want to protect the rich and powerful. We need Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s expertise and perspective.
