Older adults often fall by the wayside in discussions of mental health. On May 16, professionals from multiple disciplines will gather to discuss how aging services providers can
meet the mental health needs older adults.
This year's virtual symposium is designed as a public discussion on the topics of mental health and aging, specifically related to the prevention, treatment, and recovery support options and solutions for older adults with mental health or substance use disorders.

The agenda features a diverse array of topics with a focus on trauma-informed care, resource navigation, understanding and preventing suicide, peer support systems for older adults, substance use, grief and loss, and the intersection of the social determinants of health and mental health.
