National Legal Advocacy Network (NLAN)

Provide information and resources for low-wage workers facing a variety of challenges and discrimination by reviewing and providing feedback on intakes, reviewing Know Your Rights materials, and researching legal resources available to workers. This is a remote opportunity, and lawyers barred in any state are welcome to volunteer.

Help a Mother and Child Living With Disabilities Seek Asylum out of Fear of Mexican Cartel

Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network

Help a mother and child seek asylum due to fear of being harmed by a Mexican cartel after being kidnapped, harmed, and threatened. This is a remote opportunity, and lawyers barred in any state are welcome to volunteer.

1—5 HOURS

Advise on Predatory Car Leasing Contract

Homeless Children's Playtime Project

Advise a client on any steps that can be taken to get out of a car lease he can no longer afford. This is a remote opportunity, and lawyers barred in any state are welcome to volunteer.

Reform Government Security Clearance Process

Inclusive America

Draft an Executive Order to reform the security clearance process and increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in government. This is a remote opportunity, and lawyers barred in any state are welcome to volunteer.

6—10 HOURS

Support Organizations Working on Voting Rights/Civil Rights at State and Local Level

The Democracy Capacity Project

Work with a grassroots organization to help client assess their civil rights and democracy activities against the state and local regulatory compliance requirements that may be applicable to their work. This is a remote opportunity, and lawyers barred in any state are welcome to volunteer. Training and mentorship available.

6—10 HOURS

Research FRRC Applicant Cases to Help Formerly Convicted People Restore Their Voting Rights

FRRC

Conduct case-research using state and local county clerk websites, and upload the information and court documents gathered from that research with the goal of helping to end the disenfranchisement and discrimination against people with convictions. This is a remote opportunity, and lawyers barred in any state are welcome to volunteer.
