This week, the Senate is considering Judge Kentanji Brown Jackson’s nomination to the Supreme Court.

Judge Jackson is by all accounts an exceptional jurist. She has been repeatedly confirmed by the Senate on a bipartisan basis. We should be thorough in vetting her, but we cannot and should not stand for needless obstruction.

Sign my petition if you agree: Judge Jackson deserves a swift and fair Supreme Court nomination process.

President Biden nominated to the Supreme Court a qualified judge with extraordinary credentials who has the backing of organizations across the political spectrum.

Judge Jackson has demonstrated her brilliant legal mind throughout her career. So much so that she’s already appeared before the Judiciary Committee three times as a nominee for other positions.

That doesn’t mean we should take shortcuts with her confirmation. We should vet her as we would any nominee to our highest court. But we’ve already heard Republicans making unnecessary requests that serve no purpose other than to slow down the process.
