During an interview with Minnesota Public Radio on Friday, leading GOP candidate for Minnesota Governor Scott Jensen confirmed that he would "try to ban abortion" if he's elected in November. Here's a transcript of the exchange:

INTERVIEWER: If you were Governor, would you try to impose new restrictions on abortion, or would you try to ban it outright?

JENSEN: "I would try to ban abortion… There's no reason for us to be having abortions going on."

As anti-choice Republicans continue their unprecedented assault on reproductive rights in state legislatures across the country, Governor Walz has made himself 100% clear: No abortion ban will ever become law under his watch.

Make no mistake: Scott Jensen and every one of our other GOP opponents is an existential threat to reproductive freedom in Minnesota. As we approach our first public fundraising deadline of the year, it's never been more important for us to prove that we have Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan's back.
