Dear John,
Last week, I shared with you that 40 of our new Leadership Training Academy physician fellows would be meeting in our nation’s capital for their first in-person advocacy training.
These bold advocates wasted no time putting their new skills into action to protect our reproductive health care.

They met with Congress to make it clear that to safeguard the patient-provider relationship, legislators must stop the Trump administration’s gag rule and protect the Title X family planning program. The gag rule prevents doctors from providing complete and accurate medical information to their patients.
This is the first of many urgent policy actions they’ll take to advance health care access.
John, you understand how critically important it is for people—not politics—to make their own health care decisions. Our legislators need to know that too.
Here are a few more photos of our physicians advocating for just that, on behalf of all of us and each of our families and communities.

I look forward to sharing with you more updates about the work these brave physicians will be doing across the country.
This is only the beginning of the strides we’ll be making together for reproductive health care.
With gratitude,
