Now more than ever, Americans need a Supreme Court that will uphold the promise enshrined above its doors: Equal justice under law.

Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's record and experience demonstrate her deep commitment to making that promise real — for everyone.

In fact, her outstanding qualifications, integrity, and approach to the law earned her bipartisan support in the Senate in prior confirmations, including one just last year.

That's why it's reprehensible that Republicans like Josh Hawley and others are reportedly gearing up to lob out-of-context, outlandish attacks against Judge Jackson's record — likely in hopes of raising their profiles before the rapidly approaching GOP Presidential primary season.

These confirmation hearings are an important moment for the American people to get to know the Judge Jackson I know and voted to confirm last year. And she deserves a fair process that treats her with the respect that she, and the country, deserve.

Enough political games. And enough grandstanding. Americans’ trust in this process and our highest court is at a historic low — and for good reason. Let’s start turning that around this week.
