John,

While Roe v. Wade and the constitutionally protected right to abortion stands, more and more conservative states aren’t waiting to see what SCOTUS will do and are instead pushing through 6, 15, and 20 week bans on abortion. [1]

A ban is a ban whether it is 6 weeks or 20 weeks. We will not compromise. Give to agree.

Even more terrifying, are what states are adding on to these bans. Texas introduced a ‘vigilante’ aspect to their ban in which private citizens who “aid and abet” someone with an abortion can be sued. And Idaho recently passed a law which allows family members to sue abortion providers for performing an abortion. [2]

We believe no one besides the pregnant person themselves should be involved in if, how, and when that person births a child. Do you agree?

As these laws and bans continue to work their way through state governments, we are working diligently to get the word out about self-managed abortion with pills. Self-managed abortion with pills allows a person to end a pregnancy in the privacy of their own home, without having to travel. It will be an invaluable option as Roe continues to be threatened.

Visit our website for more information about self-managed abortion or to give to help get the word out.

Sincerely,

Erin Matson
Executive Director, Reproaction

P.S. They’re not stopping but neither are we. Give now.
