Because of supporters like you, our teams and local partners were able to quickly deploy to Ukraine and neighboring Poland to meet families crossing the border with the food, water, shelter and care they'd been waiting — up to 60 hours, in some cases — to receive.
Your support of children and families from Ukraine is helping:
- Mobilize our partners on the ground in Poland and in Ukraine.
- Provide people with medical assistance, protection and trauma care.
- Create hotlines for refugees arriving in Poland to access critical information.
- Procure medical supplies and essential items such as sleeping bags and warm blankets to distribute to refugees when they arrive at reception centers.
- Ensure that women and children — who are the most at risk of exploitation and abuse — are protected, and that survivors of violence have the support they need to heal.
- Set up long-term care to help displaced families rebuild their lives in the months and years to come.
