In Maryland, we have seen the price of gas go up by $0.44 in just one week. Meanwhile, the price of oil had actually gone down recently back to late-February levels. Oil and gas companies shouldn’t be padding their bottom lines on the backs of working families during a crisis.
We’re hearing stories of alleged price gouging from across Maryland. But Maryland doesn’t even have a law prohibiting the practice. As Attorney General, I will do everything in my power to advocate for legislation to ban price gouging and I will crack down on those who are taking advantage of Marylanders.
Will you make a contribution today to help me win this election and lead the fight to protect consumers against big corporations trying to take advantage of people? [[link removed]]

Throughout the pandemic, we’ve seen companies increasing prices on all kinds of necessities. This is hurting too many people and we must do more to protect consumers.
That’s also why I worked with Senator Elizabeth Warren to introduce legislation that would create a national price-control program on critical supplies that would lower prices and ensure supplies.
But in order to win this campaign and continue leading this fight, I need your support. Can I count on you to make a donation today ahead of our biggest end-of-month fundraising deadline yet? [[link removed]]
Together, we’re going to make sure no one is being taken advantage of here in Maryland!
