I’ve got encouraging news for us to celebrate together.

At the beginning of February, the Open Wing Alliance and partner organizations across the globe launched a powerful campaign to end some of the worst abuses of egg-laying hens in the restaurant industry.

So far, our collective efforts have convinced two major brands to publish global cage-free commitments: The Cheesecake Factory and Telepizza. These wins for hens prove that our demands for change are working!

But here’s the catch: Three brands—Outback Steakhouse, Panda Express, and Five Guys— are still holding out.

If this public roast of restaurants has proven one thing to me, it’s that raising our voices in unison influences some of the biggest companies to do better.

Everything from signing petitions, to bombarding their social media accounts, to sending emails, and making phone calls. Every single action makes a difference.
